Task No. 21.2                                                                                                        

  Task: Electrical, electronic and control engineering at support level. 

Sub Task: Identify the basic safety devices such as fuses and trips in electrical system.

  Aims:

1.     What are the different safety devices fitted in electrical system.

2.     What is the use of fuse?

3.     What is the difference between fuse and MCB.

 

Requirement for performing the task:

1.     Reference theory from MEK text book.

2.     Different safety devices such as MCB, ACB,VCB, MCCB, Fuse etc.

 

Precaution to be observed

1. Wear proper PPE

2. Make sure circuit is dead while identify devices.

3. make sure fuse is removed.

4. Do not try to pull out any electrical wire.

5. Make sure insulating mate is placed on floor.
