  Task: Lubrication

  Sub Task: Identify various methods of lubrication, manual and pneumatic grease guns and nipples, grease cups, oil cups, splash and forced.

 

  Aims:

1.     What are the various methods of lubrication?

2.     How to use high pressure grease gun and pneumatic grease gun.

3.     How to refill grease gun.

4.     What is the use of grease cup, oil can?

 

Requirement for performing the task:

1.     High pressure grease gun

2.     Pneumatic grease gun

3.     Oil can

4.     Grease cup

5.     Grease nipple

 

Precaution to be observed:

1.     Wear all proper PPE.

2.     Follow the maker’s instructions while using lubricants.

3.     All the lubrication equipments should be well maintained.

4.     Take care about the grease nipple while using grease gun.

5.     Remove dirt and grease from grease fittings.

6.     Never mix two different lubricants.
